About Kathi
Teaching you how to click with your dog through
clear communication, trust and mutual respect
Kathi Ogawa has been training dogs professionally since 1985. She has trained thousands of dogs working at two nationally know board and train facilities in California and Washington as well as teaching classes and conducting workshops. Kathi also presents demonstrations for various dog groups including 4-H, training centers, dog clubs, animal shelters and veterinary clinics.
Kathi is a certified TTouch™ practitioner, a graduate of the first class of the TTouch™ companion animal certification program developed by Linda Tellington-Jones. Kathi incorporates TTouch™ with clicker training in her teaching philosophy.
Kathi’s specialty is private in-home training sessions with dogs and their people to address specific needs. She has many years experience working with canine aggression issues of all types and breeds as well as other behavior problem solving. Having worked as a professional groomer for many years, Kathi successfully works with many dogs that have fear or aggression issues with grooming and gently introduces puppies to grooming activities.
Kathi judges all levels of AKC Earthdog tests. As an approved AKC CGC Evaluator, she offers Canine Good Citizen prep classes and tests in addition to testing for individuals and other groups.
Kathi competes with her dogs earning titles in conformation, obedience, agility, earthdog and rally.
